Wyndham Championship is entering its 82nd annual tournament and it is set for August 11-15th in Greensboro, about an hour and a half north of Charlotte. This is a golf tournament. In fact, there will be free admission to teachers, first responders and members of the military. This is according to a Wyndham Championship news release. They can go any day to the tournament.
Wyndham Championship Honors Important People, Professions
Truist, a tournament presenting sponsor, makes it possible for the first responders, including law enforcement, fire and emergency medical technicians. They will get a complimentary admission wristbands for themselves and guest. Moreover, the sponsorship from a partner that wishes to remain anonymous, teachers through a kindergarten to high school institutions and one guest will receive free admission. This event in being held in North Carolina.
In fact, the members of the Military (active duty, reservists, and veterans) may, in fact, receive up to two complimentary tickets for any one day of the tournament as well as access to the USO Patriots’ Outpost at the 10th green, courtesy of Truist and Heroes Vacation Club.
Wyndham Championship is Struggling to get Volunteers
There are about 1,200 volunteers for this year’s tournament. But they need at least 1,500 people. Unfortunately, the low turnout may be due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the date of the championship which, in fact, also lines up with school starting up again.
