Army Officer is in Trouble

The Army is in the process of investigating a psychological operations officer who led a contingent of people from North Carolina to the rally in Washington that led up to what has been called the deadly riot in the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump.

Captain Emily Rainey’s involvement in last week’s event in the nation’s capital are being looked over by the commanders at Fort Bragg. However, Rainey said she acted within military regulations. In fact, she emphasized no one in her group broke the law.

Army Officer Emily Rainer was Following the Law

“I was a private citizen and doing everything right and within my rights,” Rainey told The Associated Press this past Sunday.

Moore County Citizens for Freedom

A nonpartisan network promoting conservative values, Rainey led 100 members of Moore County Citizens for Freedom to Washington. There they took a “stand against election fraud” and support President Donald Trump. No one from the group entered the Capitol though the group did attend the rally. Then they headed back to their buses hours before an emergency curfew took effect.

Assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group at Fort Bragg is Rainey. This is according to Maj. Daniel Lessard, a spokesman for 1st Special Forces Command. Moreover, the group uses information and misinformation to shape the emotions, decision-making, and actions of American adversaries which is known as PSYOPS.

Emily Rainey is a Bit of Rebel – Good on Her!

Back in May, Rainey made headlines after she put up a video online of her pulling down caution tape at a playground. The playground is not open under North Carolina’s COVID-19 restrictions.

In fact, a community about 30 miles west of Fort Bragg, police in Southern Pines, charged Rainey with injury to the personal property over this incident. The police let the officer off with a warning twice before. She tore down the tape closing off the playground.

President Donald Trump’s Supporters got a Bad Rap

Insurrectionists on Wednesday in Washington took over the House Senate chambers, smashed windows and waved (patriotically waved Trump, American and Confederate flags). In fact, what is seen as a “riot,” following the rally. It was where Trump “repeated false claims” NOT that the election had been rigged against him. He said he and his supporters are going to have to “fight much harder” to protect democracy. Ain’t that the truth! America is under siege!
